Acupuncture is a safe treatment. The British Acupuncture Council has a Code of Practice which lays down strict standards of hygiene and sterilisation for needles and other equipment.

These procedures have been approved by the Department of Health and provide protection against the transmission of infectious diseases.

All information given to your acupuncturist is held in confidence in accordance with the guidelines of the Data Protection Act.
