Simon Garstin - Doctor of Chiropractic

Simon Garstin - Doctor of Chiropractic

Simon graduated from the world-renowned Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2002 with a Masters in Chiropractic. Since then, he has worked in Bracknell, Twickenham and Chiswick as an associate chiropractor, before setting up Park Street Chiropractic with his brother James in 2005.

Simon's special interests in chiropractic include sports injury treatment and prevention, spinal and other joint rehabilitation, and certain neurological conditions. However, what he enjoys most about his practice life is the constant interaction with a wide variety of people - he believes that if a chiropractor ever gets bored with their work then they are probably missing something!

Simon is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and is registered with the General Chiropractic Council.

Simon is registered with AXA PPP, BUPA and all other major health insurance providers.

Anna Garstin - Doctor of Chiropractic

Anna Garstin - Doctor of Chiropractic

Anna graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2004 with a Bachelor's in Human Sciences and a Masters in Chiropractic.  She also has a Diploma in Chiropractic Clinical Paediatrics.

Anna was first introduced to chiropractic at the age of 21 when she suffered a sudden attack of lower back pain.  After several days incapacitated, she managed to get herself to a chiropractor in her home city of Stockholm.  Fascinated by the drug-free and holistic approach, and impressed by the effectiveness of the treatment, she decided to train as a chiropractor.  Anna continues to benefit from chiropractic with regular adjustments.

Following her 5-year course she has worked in Farnham in Surrey, Warwick, Rugby and Hinckley where she developed her skills further, particularly in the area of paediatrics.

Anna is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

Anna is also married to Simon!

Steven Marsland - Doctor of Chiropractic

Steven Marsland - Doctor of Chiropractic

Steven qualified as a chiropractor at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in Bournemouth in 2006 and, since graduating, has successfully treated patients in Rugby, Stratford, Warwick and Leamington.

In addition to treating the most common problems you might associate with chiropractors, such as back pain, headaches, neck pain, sciatica and trapped nerves, Steven has a special interest in the treatment of sports injuries. Being a keen sportsman himself, enjoying golf, tennis, squash, skiing and jogging, Steven has a strong focus on the prevention of future injuries.

Steven is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and is registered with the General Chiropractic Council.

Beth Garstin - Practice Manager

Beth Garstin - Practice Manager

Beth, who also happens to be Simon's sister, is the glue that keeps Park Street together.  As the practice manager, she takes care of most of the daily running of the clinic, from stock control to staff wages and much more inbetween!  She originally joined the clinic as an assistant about 3 years ago after finishing university.  Her organisational skills and general efficiency made her the clear choice for manager, a role that she fulfills to the utmost, and then some.

Beth has a degree in Environmental Science and is also a qualified sports and remedial massage therapist.  She is no longer doing massage, however, as she has started a "refresher" course in chemistry, and has a place at Warwick University to start a Post-graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in September 2010.

Catherine O'Carroll - Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist

Catherine O'Carroll - Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist

Before joining Park Street Chiropractic Clinic, Catherine practiced sports and remedial massage therapy in Gloucester for several years.

Catherine is a keen sportswoman and competed for Great Britain in the Duathlon and Triathlon between 1999 and 2004.  She also runs cross-country to marathon distances and competes in cycling road races and time trials!

Catherine really understands the issues surrounding competing in sports at all levels and is a member of the International Institute of Sports Therapists (IiST) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

Brian Pollitt - Acupuncturist

Brian Pollitt - Acupuncturist

Before turning to Acupuncture, Brian worked for (too) many years as a project manager in various industries.  Brian has been interested in Chinese Medicine for many years through Tai Ji and Qi Gong.  It was training to be a Tai Ji teacher that brought his attention to Acupuncture and Five Element Theory.  This style of acupuncture focuses on identifying and treating underlying imbalances to achieve overall harmony, resulting in a general feeling of well-being, increased energy levels and a greater ability to deal with whatever trials life may present.  Through his Tai Ji training, Brian found the remedial work very rewarding, so when the opportunity came to study acupuncture, he just had to follow the call.

Brian trained at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, in Leamington, which was founded by J.R. Worsley, who first brought this style of acupuncture to the West.  Brian graduated with an honours degree and holds a Licentiate in Acupuncture.  He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.  Brian firmly believes in the teachings of JR and the maxim of acupuncture helping people to achieve their potential and to become who they are meant to be.

Brian tends to focus on those conditions with which Western medicine does not have a great deal of success, such as skin diseases, pain relief, and emotional disorders.  It is equally rewarding however treating people for issues such as fertility problems, especially when the result is a lovely bouncing baby!

Laura Ball - Clinic Assistant

Laura Ball - Clinic Assistant

Laura joined Park Street Chiropractic in July 2009 after five years of bringing up her two children.  She is a keen runner and recently took part in her first marathon and hopes to complete many more!

Before joining us, Laura worked on a volunary basis at Guide Dogs for the Blind.
