Digital X-Ray Imaging
Digital X-Ray Imaging in Leamington Spa & Warwick
At Park Street Chiropractic, we are pleased to offer on-site digital X-ray facilities when they are clinically appropriate. For some patients across Leamington Spa, Warwick and the wider Warwickshire area, an X-ray can give valuable extra information about spinal alignment, pelvic position, arthritic change, calcifications and other bony findings that may help inform a working diagnosis.
What is digital x-ray imaging?
A digital X-ray is a fast way of capturing detailed images of bones and joints. In a chiropractic setting, it can help us look more closely at structural alignment and visible changes in the spine, pelvis or other regions. Importantly, X-rays do not show everything. They are not designed to show muscles, discs, nerves or inflammation in the way other types of scan can. That is why any image needs to be interpreted alongside your symptoms, history, examination findings and movement pattern rather than in isolation.
Common signs and symptoms
- Persistent back, neck, pelvic or joint pain that needs further structural review
- Concerns around visible postural changes or spinal alignment
- Longstanding stiffness or recurring symptoms where extra detail may help
- Situations where arthritic change or calcification may be relevant
- Cases where we need a clearer view of bony structures
- Patients who want a better visual understanding of their structural findings
Common causes
- Degenerative wear and arthritic change
- Structural asymmetry or visible alignment differences
- Longstanding mechanical stress through the spine or pelvis
- Previous injury affecting bone or joint position
- Calcification or reduced joint space over time
- Clinical uncertainty where imaging may add useful context
How we can help at Park Street Chiropractic
If we feel an X-ray may help, we will explain why, what information it may provide and what its limitations are. We do not want you leaving with only an image and no understanding of what it means. The value comes from combining the imaging with expert clinical interpretation. That means looking at what the X-ray shows, how it fits with your symptoms, and whether it changes the best route for treatment, rehabilitation or onward referral.
For many patients in Leamington Spa and Warwick, that added clarity provides reassurance as well as a more tailored plan. We use modern, low-dose digital equipment, take only the views that are clinically justified, and explain everything in plain English. In short, our on-site digital X-ray service is there to support better decision-making when the situation calls for it, not to replace careful hands-on assessment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an X-ray before starting chiropractic treatment?
No, not for most people. We only recommend X-rays when they are likely to add genuinely helpful information to the clinical picture. Many patients in Leamington Spa and Warwick are assessed and treated without needing imaging at all.
What can a digital X-ray show that a physical exam can't?
X-rays can show bony structures very clearly, including alignment, visible arthritic changes, reduced joint space and certain structural differences. A physical exam tells us how you move and where you have pain, but imaging adds a different layer of information that can support the working diagnosis.
Is the radiation from a digital X-ray safe?
Modern digital X-ray equipment uses a low dose of radiation, and we only take views that are clinically justified. We always weigh up the benefit of the information against the dose involved, and we will explain that clearly before any imaging takes place. If you have specific concerns, just tell us and we will talk you through it.

A very friendly practice, and a great sports massage from Ross. He's not afraid to get into the knots where it's needed, but I've never had any discomfort afterwards (which is a bonus!)Posted on Google![]()

I've been working with Abbie Davis for several months now, helping put my spine and ribs back into place as I've dealt with the nasty combination of long covid, hypermobility, and a knee injury. I first emailed the practice to ask if anyone there was experienced working with hypermobility, since it can be very risky in the wrong hands. Abbie was recommended as having an especially gentle touch. She listened well, accepted my limitations (no sudden twisting cervical adjustments), and has been a wonderful addition to my care team for my long term recovery. I like her preventative emphasis, which feels like she wants me to really get better rather than having to keep coming in for adjustments forever. She also communicated with the massage therapist I'm working with, Ross, to give him a heads up on my specific needs. My stability and pain has improved a lot, with much fewer subluxes in my ribs and spine. I'm able to breathe more deeply without pain. The front desk people also are friendly, helpful, and respond quickly. I'm happy to have found this place.Posted on Google![]()

Abbie has recently treated my baby for neck tension and even after the first session there was visible improvement. Abbie is very professional and explained all aspects of the treatment plan and how it is tailored for babies which reassured me. She has a lovely, patient manner with little ones and will go at their pace and always puts their wellbeing first to make it a positive experience. I would highly recommend Abbie for both children and adult treatments.Posted on Google![]()

I came to the clinic in roughly 2 months ago and I saw Dr. Henry who did my consultation + helped me with the following treatments. It was a complete 180 turn for me. In May.. I wasn't able to walk for longer than a few minutes because of my sciatica + I had to rely on using a walking stick, which I don't find very aesthetic for someone in their mid 30s. I am now able to do my every day activities without pain now and feel so much more functional, especially when I walk my dog or take the car to work. Dr. Henry and park street chiropractic clinic has helped me beyond what I could imagine. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their help.Posted on Google![]()

Dr. Henry has been amazing.. For a bit of context, I fell off a ladder at the end of May this year and had many visits in/out from A&E which had help at all. There was sharp pains shooting down my leg and a mix of numbness and pins and needles down my feet too.. I was recommended to see Henry by my mate and i'm so glad I did. I couldn't work, walk upright or drive without excruciating pain. It's so great that i'm more mobile and able to work, look after my daughter and drive properly now. Thank you again Dr. Henry and Park Street Chiropractic team !Posted on Google![]()

I’ve been seeing Dr. Henry Wong at Park Street Chiropractic Clinic for chronic lower back pain that I’ve suffered with for over 20 years, which I believe developed from playing cricket and football, along with years of prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting which I need to do for work . Henry thoroughly assessed my condition and recommended chiropractic treatment, rehab exercises, a gait scan + custom orthotics. Since wearing the orthotics, I’ve felt much more comfortable and confident walking, both at work and in everyday life, and my posture has improved significantly. I’m very grateful for Henry expertise and care, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone struggling with ongoing muscle or joint problems.Posted on Google![]()

Seeing Henry at Park Street Chiro and he is fantastic. I’ve had quite a lot of issues related to spine and muscles and a month later they are all addressed and continuing to improve. I’m enjoying a more active lifestyle than before and will continue building on to become very fit again. Thanks HenryPosted on Google![]()

I came to see Dr. Henry Wong at Park Street Chiropractic about 2 months ago because of a horrible lasting pain i had in my lower back and buttock area. This was a problem i've had now and again, and persisted for the past 30 years due to my athletic younger days whilst playing a lot of sports. I am so glad to find someone who actually cares about my health development. Whatever worry and silly question I had, Henry answered with genuine interest + has acted professionally through and through. I feel 90% better now and what's really helped are the rehabilitation exercises I was set as well as the customised orthotics i was prescribed too. Walking feels a lot more comfortable and i feel more confident going about my daily activities now. Thanks so much Dr. Henry and Park Street Team.
