Elbow & Wrist Pain
Elbow and Wrist Pain Treatment in Leamington Spa & Warwick
Elbow and wrist pain often creeps in through repeated everyday use. Typing, gripping, lifting, carrying, racket sports, gym work, manual jobs and even repeated phone use can all build up strain over time. Patients across Leamington Spa and Warwick frequently describe pain on the outside of the elbow, aching through the forearm or wrist, or difficulty gripping, twisting or lifting simple objects. Although these problems are common, they can be stubborn if the loading pattern stays the same.
What is elbow and wrist pain?
Pain in the elbow or wrist may come from irritated tendons, stiff joints, overworked forearm muscles or compressed tissues that do not have enough time to recover between repeated tasks. Common presentations include tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, repetitive strain type symptoms and wrist pain linked with desk work or sport. The sore spot is important, but so are the mechanics of the shoulder, neck and the rest of the upper limb chain. That is why a wider assessment usually leads to a better long-term result.
Common signs and symptoms
- Pain gripping, lifting or twisting a jar or handle
- Tenderness on the outside or inside of the elbow
- Aching or stiffness through the wrist and forearm
- Pain during typing, mouse use or repeated hand tasks
- Reduced grip strength or fatigue in the hand and forearm
- Symptoms that flare after sport or manual work
Common causes
- Repeated gripping, typing or twisting movements
- Tendon overload from sport, gym or work tasks
- Stiff joints in the wrist, elbow or shoulder chain
- Poor desk setup or repeated mouse use
- Muscle imbalance and reduced recovery time
- Older issues that never fully settled
How we can help at Park Street Chiropractic
At our Warwickshire clinic, we treat the whole upper limb rather than only the sore spot. That means assessing the wrist, elbow, forearm, shoulder and sometimes the neck to understand where strain is really building up. Your care may include joint mobilisation techniques, chiropractic care to related joints, and dry needling (acupuncture) for overloaded forearm and wrist muscles.
Deeper hands-on release is available through our separate sports massage therapist when soft tissue and deep tissue work would help. We will also guide you on load management, stretching, strengthening, workstation setup and changes to the repeated activities that may be keeping the problem going. Where imaging would add genuinely useful information, our on-site digital X-ray service is available, but we only use it when clinically appropriate.
If elbow or wrist pain is becoming a daily frustration, book an assessment at Park Street Chiropractic.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can chiropractic help with elbow and wrist pain?
Yes. Chiropractic care can support many forms of mechanical elbow and wrist pain by improving joint movement, easing overloaded muscles and addressing the wider mechanics of the arm and shoulder. Many patients in Leamington Spa and Warwick find this combined approach particularly useful for stubborn overuse problems.
Why does my tennis elbow / golfer's elbow keep coming back?
These conditions usually recur when the underlying loading pattern has not changed. Even after symptoms ease, repeated gripping, typing, lifting or training without adjusting technique, dose or recovery can re-irritate the tendon. We help by addressing both the local tissue and the wider mechanics that keep pulling on it.
Is chiropractic treatment safe for wrist conditions like carpal tunnel?
Yes. We carefully assess what is contributing to wrist symptoms, choose appropriate techniques and avoid anything that would aggravate the problem. If your symptoms suggest a need for imaging, medical review or onward referral, we will explain that clearly.

I've been going to Park Street Chiropractic Clinic for a number of years now, following some lower back issues. Initially, I was treated by Abbie, who was fantastic in aiding my early recovery, supported superbly a handful of times by Henry when she was on leave. After an initial assessment, I had a course of treatments that involved multiple sessions per week to help get over my injury before transitioning to less frequent ones every six weeks or so to keep me in check. More recently, I've been going to Ellie, who has been amazing at providing regular adjustments and helpful advice that helps keep me in shape, despite the best efforts of my desk job to achieve otherwise. Ellie, as with all of the chiropractors there, is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful, as well as being very friendly, which helps to make the whole process much more relaxing than one would ordinarily associate with a medical treatment. All of the team, including the chiropractors and reception staff, are incredibly professional, friendly and welcoming, making visits there a pleasure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ellie and any of the team at Park Street Chiropractic Clinic.Posted on Google![]()

I can’t thank Ellie enough for the excellent care I have received at Park Street Chiropractic clinic. I could hardly walk on my first appointment due to a back issue. Ellie was empathetic, supportive and patient, it’s taken me 3 months of regular manipulation appointments and now ongoing maintenance to get me back to 90% and back to walking my puppy 😊 Thank you and the whole team for your support.Posted on Google![]()

Having not seen a chiropractor for a long time, I went to see Ellie at Park Street Chiropractic, with chronic neck pain which was stopping me sleeping and impacting daily life. She swiftly recognised the issue and suggested a course of treatment, the impact of which was immediate. Would recommend Ellie and the team wholeheartedly.Posted on Google![]()

I saw Ellie for my hips/back and neck. I was an athlete for years so my joints are a tad hypermobile and Ellie came in like a queen and sorted me out. First visit had tons of relief, second visit had me fully back to normal. She’s an amazing godstar at her job. 10/10 go to her for care. I’ll be going in the future for any concernsPosted on Google![]()

I honestly can't recommend Henry highly enough, the treatment has made a huge difference, and I've been really impressed not only with Henry's knowledge and skill, but his genuine concern for his patients. I have literally recommended him to everyone I know.
