Chiropractic Care

The first challenge is to get you out of pain. The second challenge is to correct, strengthen and rehabilitate your spine, getting it, your muscles and your nerves working well together. The third challenge is all about maintaining good spinal health, keeping you from falling back to where you were when you first came to the clinic.

The Park Street Chiropractic process

New Patient Forms

From the first minute you walk into our clinic, the emphasis will be on you. We are dedicated to providing you and your family a world class service. We will request you fill our patient form. This provides us with general information about yourself and your current health.

Consultation

Next you will have a consultation with our Chiropractor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for the Chiropractor to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will meet your goals.

Examination

Your Chiropractor will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes as well as other neurologic, orthopaedic, postural, and physical examinations. No treatment will be provided appointment. Because of the amount of information collected it would be clinically inappropriate to provide treatment before producing a full report of findings. Which leads us on to our next appointment: the ‘Report of Findings’…

Report of Findings

Once all the information and examinations have been performed, your Chiropractor will give you a report of findings to answer the three most popular questions: Can you help me? How long will it take? How much is it going to cost? After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and other soft tissue related areas and reviewing any x-rays or tests, your Chiropractor will discuss recommendations with you.

If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the chiropractic will tell you. If your Chiropractor believes we can help you, he/she will recommend treatment and a wellness program.

What to expect on your chiropractic journey

The first challenge is to get you out of pain, and the second challenge after that is to correct, strengthen and rehabilitate your spine and get it and your muscles and nerves working well together. The third challenge is all about maintaining good spinal health and keeping you from falling back to where you were when you first came to the clinic.

Tailored to Your Needs

Treatment Techniques

Chiropractic Adjustments (Diversified Technique)

Gentle, precise manual adjustments are used to help improve joint movement, reduce stiffness, ease pressure through the spine and joints, and support better overall function.

Chiropractic Drop Techniques

Drop technique uses a specially designed section of the chiropractic bench to assist treatment, helping restore function in restricted joints with a controlled and comfortable approach.

Joint Mobilisation Techniques

Joint mobilisation uses slower, gentler movements to help free up stiff joints, improve flexibility, reduce discomfort, and encourage more natural movement.

Activator Techniques

The Activator is a small spring-loaded instrument that delivers a precise, low-force, high-speed impulse to targeted joints to help improve mobility and restore range of motion.

Pelvic Blocks

Pelvic blocks are a gentle technique used to help realign the pelvis, reduce strain through the lower back and sacroiliac joints, and encourage better balance through the body.

Dry Needling (Western Medical Acupuncture)

Dry needling is used to release tight muscles, reduce trigger points, improve blood flow, and help calm pain and tension in overworked areas.

Kinesiology Taping Techniques

Kinesiology taping can help support muscles and joints, reduce strain on injured tissues, improve movement awareness, and aid recovery — particularly for active people and athletes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to keep cracking my own neck or back?

Many people do this because it gives a quick sense of relief, especially when they feel stiff or tight. Doing it repeatedly can become a habit that does not actually address the underlying cause of the tension or restriction. Often, people end up forcing the same joints to move over and over again, while the areas that are truly stiff or not functioning properly remain untreated. Over time, this can sometimes increase irritation, muscle tension or instability. If you feel the need to crack your neck or back regularly, it is usually a sign that something deeper needs assessing properly.

Not always. Most people do not need an X-ray before starting chiropractic care. We begin with a full consultation and physical assessment to understand your symptoms, medical history, posture and movement. We only recommend X-rays when they are clinically necessary and likely to provide useful information that helps guide diagnosis or treatment planning. If we feel an X-ray would be helpful, we will explain why, what it may show, and whether it is the most appropriate form of imaging for your situation.

Chiropractic care is a safe, non-invasive treatment option when carried out by a properly trained practitioner. We always take a careful history, perform a full assessment, and choose techniques that suit your body, symptoms and comfort level. Treatment can also be adapted using gentler approaches, such as Activator methods, pelvic blocks or joint mobilisation, where appropriate.

A very friendly practice, and a great sports massage from Ross. He's not afraid to get into the knots where it's needed, but I've never had any discomfort afterwards (which is a bonus!)

I've been working with Abbie Davis for several months now, helping put my spine and ribs back into place as I've dealt with the nasty combination of long covid, hypermobility, and a knee injury. I first emailed the practice to ask if anyone there was experienced working with hypermobility, since it can be very risky in the wrong hands. Abbie was recommended as having an especially gentle touch. She listened well, accepted my limitations (no sudden twisting cervical adjustments), and has been a wonderful addition to my care team for my long term recovery. I like her preventative emphasis, which feels like she wants me to really get better rather than having to keep coming in for adjustments forever. She also communicated with the massage therapist I'm working with, Ross, to give him a heads up on my specific needs. My stability and pain has improved a lot, with much fewer subluxes in my ribs and spine. I'm able to breathe more deeply without pain. The front desk people also are friendly, helpful, and respond quickly. I'm happy to have found this place.

Abbie has recently treated my baby for neck tension and even after the first session there was visible improvement. Abbie is very professional and explained all aspects of the treatment plan and how it is tailored for babies which reassured me. She has a lovely, patient manner with little ones and will go at their pace and always puts their wellbeing first to make it a positive experience. I would highly recommend Abbie for both children and adult treatments.

I came to the clinic in roughly 2 months ago and I saw Dr. Henry who did my consultation + helped me with the following treatments. It was a complete 180 turn for me. In May.. I wasn't able to walk for longer than a few minutes because of my sciatica + I had to rely on using a walking stick, which I don't find very aesthetic for someone in their mid 30s. I am now able to do my every day activities without pain now and feel so much more functional, especially when I walk my dog or take the car to work. Dr. Henry and park street chiropractic clinic has helped me beyond what I could imagine. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their help.

Dr. Henry has been amazing.. For a bit of context, I fell off a ladder at the end of May this year and had many visits in/out from A&E which had help at all. There was sharp pains shooting down my leg and a mix of numbness and pins and needles down my feet too.. I was recommended to see Henry by my mate and i'm so glad I did. I couldn't work, walk upright or drive without excruciating pain. It's so great that i'm more mobile and able to work, look after my daughter and drive properly now. Thank you again Dr. Henry and Park Street Chiropractic team !

I’ve been seeing Dr. Henry Wong at Park Street Chiropractic Clinic for chronic lower back pain that I’ve suffered with for over 20 years, which I believe developed from playing cricket and football, along with years of prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting which I need to do for work . Henry thoroughly assessed my condition and recommended chiropractic treatment, rehab exercises, a gait scan + custom orthotics. Since wearing the orthotics, I’ve felt much more comfortable and confident walking, both at work and in everyday life, and my posture has improved significantly. I’m very grateful for Henry expertise and care, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone struggling with ongoing muscle or joint problems.

Seeing Henry at Park Street Chiro and he is fantastic. I’ve had quite a lot of issues related to spine and muscles and a month later they are all addressed and continuing to improve. I’m enjoying a more active lifestyle than before and will continue building on to become very fit again. Thanks Henry

I came to see Dr. Henry Wong at Park Street Chiropractic about 2 months ago because of a horrible lasting pain i had in my lower back and buttock area. This was a problem i've had now and again, and persisted for the past 30 years due to my athletic younger days whilst playing a lot of sports. I am so glad to find someone who actually cares about my health development. Whatever worry and silly question I had, Henry answered with genuine interest + has acted professionally through and through. I feel 90% better now and what's really helped are the rehabilitation exercises I was set as well as the customised orthotics i was prescribed too. Walking feels a lot more comfortable and i feel more confident going about my daily activities now. Thanks so much Dr. Henry and Park Street Team.
